About Us

We established the International Eressos Women’s Festival in 2000 through our local travel agency, Sappho Travel.

In 2010, we transformed it into the non-profit organisation known as Sappho Women.

Our dedicated team manages all aspects of programming and hosting the events that take place in Skala Eressos each September.

Our festival offers an exceptional Greek island holiday experience, nurturing lasting friendships that bring attendees back every year.

Our unwavering mission is to unite women worldwide in Sappho’s birthplace, a hub of ‘lesbian culture,’ where we celebrate diverse talents and abilities.

We recognise and embrace women who love women, while also incorporating elements from the broader LGBTQ+ community.

Over two decades, we’ve hosted a diverse array of activities, including parties, live performances, DJ sets, local nature walks, workshops, women’s art exhibitions, sports events, book launches, yoga sessions, fitness training, dance lessons, beach volleyball tournaments, and daily swims to The Rock.

Our events programme is complemented by hours of basking in the sun, swimming in the crystal-clear Aegean Sea, indulging in soothing massages, and savouring the freshest local produce.

Truly, there’s something for everyone to relish during our festival!

Our Team Small, but mighty!
