We’re excited to welcome Nama Dama to this year’s programme — a performance that brings something entirely new to the festival.
Nama Dama (Anastasia Demetriadou) creates what she calls “Pagan Soul” — a distinctive sound rooted in her Cypriot and Ukrainian heritage. Her music moves between traditional folk, ancient storytelling, and contemporary electronic textures, forming something that feels both deeply grounded and strikingly modern.
A solo performer with a powerful stage presence, she builds her music live in front of the audience using looping, layering synths, vocals, and percussion in real time. What begins as a single sound gradually expands into a rich, immersive soundscape — drawing you in, step by step.
Her performances have travelled across Europe, including major stages such as Glastonbury Festival, earning a reputation for creating experiences that feel less like conventional concerts and more like shared, atmospheric rituals.
At the International Eressos Women’s Festival, this will unfold in our open-air setting at Cine Sappho Magic Nights — under the night sky, where her sound can fully open and resonate.
