We are delighted to welcome Charlotte Brandi to the International Eressos Women’s Festival 2026.
German singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist and author Charlotte Brandi creates music that moves between intimate vulnerability and powerful, expansive art-pop. Her work is bold, emotionally precise and difficult to categorise, blending indie-pop sensibilities with experimental storytelling, minimalist melodies and richly layered arrangements.
Charlotte first came to wider attention as one half of the celebrated dream-pop duo Me & My Drummer, before launching a distinctive solo career. Since then, she has continued to develop as a multi-faceted artist, composing, performing, writing and exploring new forms of creative expression. In 2025, she also published her debut novel, Fischtage.
Her latest studio album, An den Alptraum (Dear Nightmare), marks a bold and uncompromising chapter in her career. Written in her native German, the album sharpens her lyrical voice and deepens the emotional intensity of her performances. Across the record, Charlotte explores themes of fear, mortality, relationships and revolution with honesty, humour, irony and striking artistic freedom.
Musically, An den Alptraum is dynamic, raw and thrilling, combining art-pop with unexpected textures, including a cappella passages and yodel-inspired avant-garde vocals. The result is a soundscape that is both intimate and intense, embracing uncertainty and contradiction rather than offering easy answers.
What makes Charlotte such a meaningful fit for our festival is not only her sound, but also the way she works. For An den Alptraum, she chose to collaborate exclusively with women and FLINTA* artists, creating a space rooted in equality, shared focus and artistic trust.
We cannot wait to welcome Charlotte Brandi to Skala Eressos this September and experience her music live under the stars at our open-air venue.
