We are delighted to welcome Esra Kayıkçı Ladies Trio to the International Eressos Women’s Festival 2026.

After two years of conversations, we are especially happy that this exceptional all-female jazz trio will finally be joining us in Skala Eressos. Bringing together three of Turkey’s finest contemporary musicians, the trio offers a rich and atmospheric live performance rooted in jazz, musicality and deep creative connection.

Direct from Istanbul’s vibrant music scene, Esra Kayıkçı Ladies Trio will bring the effortless elegance and emotional depth of world-class jazz to our open-air venue, Cine Sappho Magic Nights. Their performance promises a beautiful evening under the stars, full of rhythm, harmony and intimate musical storytelling.

The trio is led by Esra Kayıkçı, an acclaimed bassist, composer and vocalist, and a semi-finalist in the prestigious Montreux Jazz Vocal Competition. Esra is also the co-author of Women and Music from Calliope to Sappho, reflecting her wider commitment to women’s visibility and contribution within music and culture.

She is joined by Nihal Saruhanlı on drums, whose dynamic rhythmic foundation brings depth, movement and energy to the trio’s sound. Nihal trained at the Berklee Percussion Festival and the Bahçeşehir University Jazz Programme.

Completing the trio is Ece Şermet on vocals, piano and cello. A multi-instrumentalist with fifteen years of professional performance experience, Ece brings together classical cello roots, jazz harmony and a remarkable vocal range, singing in six languages.

Together, Esra Kayıkçı Ladies Trio create a performance that is elegant, expressive and deeply engaging. We cannot wait to welcome them to Lesvos this September for what promises to be a truly memorable night of women-led jazz at the festival.
