Guided Cycle Ride A Wonderful Journey Through the Kampos and Surrounding Countryside
Join us for a cycle into the gently undulating hills surrounding Skala Eressos. Escape from the noise and bustle of Skala into the tranquillity of the surrounding countryside, known locally as the Kampos. This translates as ‘plain,’ meaning a large area of flat land. See, I wasn’t lying about the gentle hills!
We will cycle out along the length of the beach road and turn onto the Kampos lanes behind the Aeolian Holiday Village.
Cycling along dirt tracks we will see donkeys, fig trees, olive trees and sheep aplenty, and of course, numerous immaculately kept little churches.
Reaching the peak of our (gentle) ascent will reward you with magnificent views over Skala, the Acropolis of Eressos, the Aegean Sea, Eressos Village and the entire Kampos.
We will then have a lovely long descent back into Skala via the Harbour.

Please note, it is essential to sign-up in advance for this event. We must hire the bikes in advance (we will need to know your height too – in metres please). There is a cost for bike/helmet hire, there will be a significant discount for wristband holders.
