This workshop is a guided, story-based experience exploring how we reconnect with our voice, identity, and sense of belonging as lesbian women, especially after periods of isolation, disruption, physical and mental strain or self-doubt.
Through a combination of personal storytelling, reflective writing prompts, and open group discussion, participants will be invited to explore what it means to live, express themselves, and take steps forward before feeling fully “ready.”
The session is grounded in my own journey of rebuilding life after a significant period of physical and emotional challenges, and the process of transforming that experience into a growing community platform for lesbian connection, expression, and shared stories.
Participants will be gently guided to:
The workshop creates an honest space, grounding, and empowering — where women can feel seen, heard, and less alone in their experiences.
Participants will leave with a stronger sense of self, renewed confidence in their voice, and a deeper feeling of connection to themselves and others.
About Maddy
I am a lesbian, a nurse, a writer, a blogger, a community builder and the founder of a new, growing platform focused on connection, storytelling, travelling and shared experiences within the lesbian and queer community.
My work is rooted in lived experience. After a period of physical limitations and personal disruption, I began documenting my journey through writing to process, reconnect, and rebuild. What started as something deeply personal gradually evolved into a wider vision, creating a space where other women could feel seen, understood, and connected through travelling and shared experiences.
Over the first months of this year, I am developing this platform through writing, content creation, and community-focused work, with a strong emphasis on authenticity, emotional honesty, and real-life experiences rather than polished or performative narratives.
While I do not come from a formal facilitation background, I bring a grounded, real, and relatable presence. My strength lies in creating safe, open environments where people feel comfortable reflecting, sharing, and engaging at their own pace.
This workshop is an extension of that work, creating space for voice, connection, and meaningful conversation.
