Flamenco Workshop with Silena Gaspar
This 90-minute beginner-friendly flamenco workshop invites participants to explore the vibrant and expressive rhythm of compás por tangos, one of the most accessible and joyful flamenco styles.
Through simple rhythmic exercises, clapping (palmas), body movement, and basic flamenco steps, participants will connect with the essential elements of flamenco: rhythm, grounding, posture, and expressive movement. The workshop will introduce the structure of tangos rhythm while encouraging creativity, musicality, and personal expression.
This session focuses on enjoying movement, building confidence, and experiencing the powerful emotional language of flamenco in a welcoming and supportive environment. No previous dance experience is required — only curiosity, openness, and the desire to express yourself through movement.
Join us to discover the strength, rhythm, and spirit of flamenco through the dynamic energy of tangos.
What to wear
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. If you have a long, comfortable skirt, you are very welcome to bring or wear it, as it can be lovely to work with in flamenco, but this is completely optional.
For footwear, comfortable closed-toe shoes are recommended.
