The Deep Blue, an all-female indie-folk band based in Manchester, is set to grace the stage at the International Eressos Women’s Festival this upcoming September. Though only formed in 2020, The Deep Blue quickly gained recognition and secured bookings at notable festivals like Liverpool Sound City and Focus Wales, cementing their position as ones to watch in the indie-folk scene. Their debut single ‘The Jealous Sea’ is an honest and raw reflection on the impact of airbrushed social media on modern society, evoking both awe and unease.
