‘Death is the greatest teacher about life’

Death cafes have become a global movement. People have realised that talking about death can decrease anxieties and the more one talks about death, the less control is has over ones life. Conversation around death can be an inspiration to live more fully.

What kind of role has death played in your life? What is your experience around death? However the conversations are not only about death but also about life and how to live in the future. The group directs the conversation but I will create a safe, confidential space where no judgement is made or answers are given. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.

I work as a psychotherapist for over 30 years and I am passionate about end of life education. I have facilitated several death cafes and have enjoyed that every meeting has brought up new, invigorating conversations along with new insights and perhaps surprisingly good (great) humour.
