Hack & Bashit Go Caving (in the Nether Regions)
In this quirkily surreal tale, DIY (Dyke-It-Yourself) experts and enthusiasts, Hack & Bashit, are summoned by mysterious female forces from afar.
A mystical Greek beetle leads the pair on a journey across Europe to the isle of Lesvos where a vulvic cave of mythical proportions awaits their arrival.
Toolbelts at the ready, Hack & Bashit create a 45-minute animated world of hope and humour combining screened puppetry projections via OHP, frisky-risqué performance and some delightfully live music.
For this iteration of the show Hack & Bashit and their usual band, the Gypsy Queens, will be joined by Vasiliki Papageorgiou, internationally acclaimed rebetika and Greek folk singer, whose haunting and evocative soundtrack and musical accompaniment reflects the complexities and layers of Sapphic literature, lesbian myth, and humour within the narrative. (Her band will include Carol Vine on bodhrån)
