A Year in the Making: Anticipation for the 2023 Festival
We’ve done it! The full programme of events is published online. Thanks to Luisa from Chilli Graphics in the UK, we’re thrilled to announce that her printer version is also on its way to Antonia at Reprographics, here on the island. This marks the transition from our care to the capable hands of Antonia, as she prints our booklets and posters, getting them ready for our 2023 celebrations—only 18 days away!
Creating this year’s extensive programme was no small feat. Since last year’s festival, our exceptional team of women poured many hours into the entire planning process. Phone calls, team chats, and countless emails with visitors, participants, and partners brought it all together. We’ve been steadfast and determined to make this our best festival yet, and we’ve been humbled by the support we’ve received along the way. Despite our small team, we’re pretty darn mighty!
Liz has played a pivotal role in curating the 2023 programme, negotiating with artists and facilitators for a diverse, exciting schedule. Thanks, Liz, for fulfilling our mutual promise of a packed 2023 programme!
We are of course immensely proud of our entire team’s achievements and extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone connected to our non-profit, mission, and festival. Soon, women from around the world will gather again under the Greek sun, in Sappho’s birthplace. They’ll have travelled the world to enjoy, relax, learn, be pampered, and feel empowered.
As you explore our event programme, envision for a moment the incredible talent that will descend on Skala Eressos next month. A multitude of skilled women will share their time, skills, and knowledge, making this festival so very special. Whether it’s talks, walks, workshops, concerts, art forms, DJs, or local business owners, participants all share a passion for connection, learning, and joy.
While we are guided by Sappho Women’s formation agreement, and its mission statement, we offer you the 2023 programme with a great sense of pride and accomplishment.
