We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Idra Kayne back to the International Eressos Women’s Festival!

A powerhouse singer, performer and actress with an unmistakable voice and electrifying stage presence, Idra returns to Skala Eressos after her fantastic festival appearance in 2022 – and we cannot wait to have her back on our stage.

Born and raised in Athens to a Greek mother and Ugandan father, Idra has built an impressive career spanning music, theatre, television and film. Moving effortlessly through soul, funk, pop and R&B, she is a dynamic live performer with an extraordinary ability to connect with her audience.

Performing professionally since 2000, Idra has appeared on major stages throughout Greece and has released two solo albums, Don’t Walk Away and MicDrop. Over the years she has collaborated with many leading Greek artists and has also performed alongside international acts including The Heavy, Hannah Williams and Incognito.

Alongside her music career, Idra is an accomplished actress and musical-theatre performer, with credits including Rent, Fame, Annie, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and Sweet Charity, as well as work in television and film.

Her work continues to evolve. In 2025 she took to the theatre stage in Nina Simone – 4 Octaves of Freedom, a music-theatre production exploring the life, music and activism of one of the twentieth century’s most extraordinary artists.

Most recently, in June 2026, Idra joined acclaimed composer and pianist Thodoris Oikonomou for BLUE at the Athens Concert Hall – an adventurous musical journey through an extraordinarily diverse repertoire, bringing together songs and music associated with artists and composers ranging from Nina Simone, Prince and Whitney Houston to Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, Rachmaninoff, Hadjidakis and Tsitsanis.

And now she is coming back to Skala Eressos.

Expect a huge voice, irresistible energy, plenty of soul and a performer who knows exactly how to connect with an audience.
